Our Curriculum
The Early Years Foundation Stage
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is how early years professionals in conjunction with the Government define the “formative years” of a child’s life – 0 to 5 years old . Much of this definition is around standards for the care, learning and development of your child. As a registered Ofsted childcare provider, Little Acorns follows the EYFS.
The areas of learning are
- communication and language
- physical development
- personal, social and emotional development
- literacy
- mathematics
- understanding the world
- expressive arts and design
Little Acorns Nursery ensures that the early years framework is followed at every stage of a child’s development. We lovingly implement the EYFS principles, which ensures that every child is prepared for life when they leave us and start school, so they can reach their fullest potential.
Working closely with the EYFS, parents and providing high quality learning through our dedicated staff, we are confident to provide the right foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.
